Chester County Arrest History

For an online statewide crash copy, the official Purchase TN Crash service uses an account workflow and charges $10. It is a crash-report channel, not an arrest database.

A Chester County booking sheet proves that intake occurred. It does not prove that Chester County prosecutors filed the same charges, that the person was convicted, or that the Chester County custody status remains current.
How Chester Arrests Reach TBI

It excludes aliases from the public name check, and a possible match is not fingerprint confirmation. Search by first and last name, TDOC ID, or state ID and complete the required CAPTCHA. Name searches can include matching aliases and may be narrowed by race. A person absent from FOIL can still be in Chester County jail, face a Chester County misdemeanor, or have a recent Chester County felony that has not entered TDOC custody. Call the Chester County sheriff for the local answer.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
A Chester County arrest reflects law enforcement action based on suspected conduct. A Chester County conviction requires a guilty plea, verdict, or other legally recognized adjudication in court. The prosecutor can decline or change charges after Chester County booking, and a Chester County court can dismiss or acquit. That is why the Chester County clerk’s judgment has more authority on outcome than an arrest label, press release, or booking photo. Chester Jail Arrest Snapshot Limits
State monthly reports give Chester County scale without naming people. The March 31, 2025 snapshot listed 71 occupants in Chester County’s 81-bed jail, or 87.7 percent occupancy. It included 19 TDOC backup inmates, 21 pretrial felony prisoners, 14 people serving misdemeanor sentences, and 16 pretrial misdemeanor prisoners. The April 2025 Tennessee Corrections Institute table marked the Chester County jail certified. These are Chester County custody classifications on selected dates, not annual arrest totals or a county crime trend.

A full Chester County jail can hold pretrial detainees, local sentenced prisoners, and people awaiting TDOC placement at the same time. Chester County occupancy therefore cannot establish how many arrests occurred. For an individual Chester County record, return to the sheriff, creating agency, and clerk rather than drawing conclusions from the count.
Requesting Chester Arrest Records
The Tennessee Public Records Act provides the formal fallback for releasable Chester County sheriff and police documents. T.C.A. §10-7-503 starts with broad inspection access unless another law creates an exception. A focused Chester County request helps the custodian locate responsive material.
