The site and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose. This is a records-reference resource, not a private investigation service or consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site that operates independently from government. It does not hold official criminal records, retrieve government files, perform official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.
Its purpose is to identify lawful research routes through the Chester County Sheriff's Office, county courts, TBI's TORIS program, the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry, and relevant outside services. Access to government records remains subject to laws such as the Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. §§10-7-503 and 10-7-504, while TBI's public criminal-history authority is associated with T.C.A. §38-6-120.
2. Rules for Using This Site
By using the site, a visitor agrees not to:
- Violate federal, Tennessee, or local law through use of the site
- Stalk, intimidate, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
- Use site content in a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
- Enter restricted systems or attempt to bypass access controls
- Deploy a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages
- Interfere with performance, security, or another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
Neither site content nor a linked result may be used for stalking, harassment, threats, intimidation, vigilantism, or discrimination. The Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry warns that retaliation or other misuse against a registrant can create criminal or civil liability. Registry access exists for public awareness and safety, not added punishment.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Chester County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not produce credit reports, consumer reports, or background checks for a regulated purpose. Its advertising partners likewise are not presented as services for screening applicants, evaluating rental requests, setting insurance rates, or deciding creditworthiness. A visitor must not use site or linked-tool data to:
- Make an employment decision
- Evaluate a tenant or housing application
- Determine credit eligibility or an insurance premium
- Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit where consumer-reporting law applies
- Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA
Any regulated check must be obtained through an authorized FCRA-compliant provider or the official Tennessee process required for that purpose.

Unless otherwise stated, text, graphics, logos, and code are owned by Chester County Criminal History or its content partners. Prior written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or create a derivative work from that material.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Chester County Criminal History is not liable for a loss or damage arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or information supplied by a linked service.
10. Indemnification
A visitor agrees to indemnify and hold the site harmless from claims, demands, or proceedings caused by that visitor's use of the site or violation of these terms, including reasonable legal fees and related costs.
11. Governing Law
